My God is Bigger than You
People experienced many fears in 2020. Fear of losing a job, fear of losing a loved one, and fear of getting sick from the virus were amongst adults top three biggest fears. Fear consumes many people and prevents them from using common sense. Fear increases our irrational thoughts and anxieties and holds us back from living. I wrote about my experience with fear and the choice I made one day to not let it have power over me anymore. Instead I put my faith over fear and since that moment, I have felt more free than ever before in my 49 years of life.
But Im not fearless. Put a spider near me and I will squeal and shriek and look like a raving lunatic. But i know how to calm myself down and not let emotion take over. I decided to do a research on peoples fears and the monsters they let live in their minds rent free. I spoke to children under the ages of 10 and found their top fears very similar to many adults.
Fear of Dark
Fear of the Virus
Fear of Stage Fright – speaking in front of others
Fear of Being the new kid
Fear of being bullied
Fear of rage – alcohol/drug abuse
Fear of insects
Fear of Change
Fear of Dyiing
Fear of Being Alone in this big huge World
I wanted to take these fears and give them a face in which I call fear monsters. A very imaginative young artist, Troy Cary turned these fears into illustrated monsters and I animated them with a bible verse in my latest book, MY GOD IS BIGGER THAN YOU. The word Fear is spoken over 500 times in the bible and in the book MY GOD IS BIGGER THAN YOU, we transform the 10 fear monsters into bible verses to learn and help reduce their angst or recite to overcome their emotions.
Throughout the story, a child expressed his or her fear. A solution of how to reduce the fear is offered and as a bonus for the child, a bible verse is referenced on the page and revealed through animation.
When the child puts their phone over the monster, a bible verse is revealed.

This book has deepened my faith in the lord. I feel like going back to the basics of the bible, talking about our fears with others, and learning that many of us are more alike than different. This reality makes it more bearable to overcome any of the challenges with will face in life. This book was guided entirely by love and putting my faith over fear. I pray that it will allow any person to find their faith to beat any and all monsters that show up in their own life.
